Clinical Audit Heroes Awards 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 Clinical Audit Heroes Awards, part of Clinical Audit Awareness Week 2025 (#CAAW25, 2-6 June 2025), are NOW OPEN for nominations! These awards are the highlight of Clinical Audit Awareness Week; they are an opportunity to recognise, share and learn from the work taking place to improve the quality of healthcare for patients and users of services.

How to enter 

Submitting a nomination is quick and easy! Below are the five main award categories, which are open to projects, individuals, and teams involved in any type of healthcare setting across the UK, whether at a local, system, or national level. Click on the links for the criteria, eligibility and short NOMINATION FORMS for each award:

  1. Patient Safety
  2. Patient & Public Involvement (PPI)
  3. Healthcare Inequalities
  4. Influencing Change
  5. Efficiencies.

The awards close on Sunday 27th April 2025 (23:59).

New for 2025: extra commendations!

In addition to the five main award categories, we’re also introducing two brand-new commendations for 2025:

  • NCAPOP Commendation – Celebrating projects that use National Clinical Audit Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) data to drive healthcare improvements
  • Communicating for Impact Commendation – Recognising excellence in effectively communicating project impact.

Each nomination form for the five main award categories will include optional questions for those wishing to be considered for these extra commendations. You can simply opt in when submitting your nomination by completing these additional question(s). The winners of these commendations will be announced on Friday 6th June (more details to follow).

#CAAW25 Lunch & Learn events – REGISTER NOW

The winner(s) of each of the five main award categories will be announced during five online Lunch & Learn events taking place daily from 12:30 – 1:30 pm during #CAAW25. If you are planning to enter any of the awards, please ensure that you are available on the Lunch & Learn date when the award will be announced.
