Harnessing patient voice to deliver value-based procurement
Date: 8 May 2025 to 8 May 2025
Location: Michael Page office
The need to identify and act upon every opportunity to drive greater value across the entire NHS supply chain has perhaps never been clearer. Integrating patient input into procurement can play a transformative role here by improving efficiency, maximising value for money and delivering better patient outcomes.
Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) embed patient engagement in every step of their commissioning processes. NHS and public sector leaders are invited to join Judith Hughes (Associate Director of Procurement, HQIP) and Kim Rezel (Head of Patient and Carer Engagement, HQIP) to learn, share and discuss patient and public voice in procurement strategies, including:
- The benefits of integrating patient voice into commissioning
- How to develop inclusive engagement plans
- Top tips on getting started and engaging stakeholders
- Pitfalls to avoid and actionable next steps
“…in some respects, particularly in its decision-making and systems, the patient voice is simply not loud enough”. Lord Darzi on NHS England, 2024
