National Audit of Schizophrenia

The National Audit of Schizophrenia was commissioned in England and Wales between 2010 – 2015 as part of the centrally-funded National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP). It was managed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI).

The audit assessed the care for people affected by schizophrenia who were living in the community in England and Wales and examined how well guidelines produced by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence were being followed.

This project has been taken forward by the National Psychosis Audit which was commissioned by HQIP in 2017.
