Health Inequalities Hero Award

The Health Inequalities Hero Award is one of five categories in our Clinical Audit Heroes Awards. The award recognises clinical audits that have utilised findings to reduce health inequalities.

Please read the eligibility and judging criteria carefully before completing your nomination form.

The winner of this award will be announced during Clinical Audit Awareness Week on  Thursday 16 June 2022.

Eligibility criteria

Submissions must meet the following criteria:

  • Must involve an audit(s)
  • Individuals or teams can be nominated by themselves or by others
  • Projects, individuals or teams can be based in any type of health and care setting in the UK
  • Those nominated must have led or made a substantial contribution to the successful delivery of the project
  • Must show evidence of reducing health inequalities
  • Data collection period must have been since 1 October 2020
Judging criteria

Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Clear audit design*
  • Championing data-drive and evidence-based improvement as good practice
  • Evidence of reduction in health inequalities
  • Evidence of a re-audit showing improvement and sustainability
  • Innovative approach
