Published: 23 Feb 2023

Following the announcement of the return of Clinical Audit Awareness Week, we have been working with N-QI-CAN in preparation for celebrating the benefits and impact of clinical audit and quality improvement work in healthcare from 19-23 June 2023. Here’s our latest update:

Clinical Audit Heroes Awards categories

The 2023 awards will be open to clinical audit work in the following categories:

  • Patient safety hero
  • Patient and public involvement hero
  • Healthcare inequalities hero
  • Influencing organisational change hero eg at Board level
  • Sustainability hero.

A key theme running through all categories is excellence in clinical audit and quality improvement techniques, with clinical audit helping to fuel real and impactful improvements in health and care.

Nominations for the Clinical Audit Heroes Awards will open on Thursday 30 March (closing date: Sunday 7 May), and further details, such as the criteria for each, will be shared at an online launch event on that date…

Online launch event

We’re holding an online launch event on Thursday 30 March 2023 from 1-2pm via MS Teams for healthcare colleagues to learn more about our planned celebrations. HQIP’s Medical Director Danny Keenan will be talking about all things CAAW, including the Clinical Audit Heroes Awards. More specifically, he will be sharing details of the criteria for each of the five categories and how to apply.
