Data access process streamlined with new request forms and guidance

HQIP has published a new data access request form and accompanying guidance to streamline the sharing of national audit data with third parties whilst ensuring continued adherence to the Data Protection Act. The new materials are available to download from the HQIP website along with DARG submission, meeting and review dates.

All requests for NCAPOP data must now be completed using the new form and applications submitted on alternative forms will no longer be accepted. NCAPOP suppliers are asked to align their processes accordingly.

HQIP will continue to review the forms over the next year and welcome user feedback during this period. Comments should be emailed to: [email protected]

Meanwhile, HQIP is in discussions with NHS Digital with regards to enabling the sharing of audit data linked to HES and ONS datasets plus derived data fields. It is currently not possible to share data for which HQIP is not the controller however the teams are working jointly to investigate potential solutions. Further updates will be announced in due course.
