This is the first in a series of podcasts following Sam's journey at HQIP; the fellowship, managed by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, supports doctors in training to develop as medical leaders of the future.

To celebrate Clinical Audit Awareness Week, every year we run our Clinical Audit Heroes Awards campaign which recognises outstanding engagement in clinical audit and quality improvement. We are pleased to announce that the awards are now open for this year. Nominations are open until 1 November and for the first time we have 5 special categories for our Audit Heroes: Clinical Audit Professional, Student, Volunteer, Clinical Practitioner and Team of the Year. Each category will also have a local and national award.
